Phimostop » FAQ
We recommend the use of Phimostop for ages 13 and up. And now we explain why.
In most children there is a physiological adhesion between glans and foreskin at birth, which resolves spontaneously as they grow.
Foreskin shrinkage is therefore to be considered normal in the early years of life. It is present in 96% of cases at birth, 80% of infants at 6 months, and 10% of children at 5 years. Only after this age (5 years) is it correct to speak of congenital phimosis.
Uncovering of the glans occurs progressively during childhood and must be complete by the end of puberty. At age 13, only 2-4% of men still have phimosis.
There is no reason to accelerate this process unless complications occur, and under no circumstances should glans uncovering attempts be performed because they could cause secondary phimosis.
Pediatric phimosis is of medical concern only when it is secondary or associated with complications:
For these medical reasons we suggest the use of Phimostop only from 13 years of age and older .
Phimostop works with all types of phimosis (congenital and acquired).
In the vast majority of cases, phimosis can be permanently eliminated. Also in complex cases of congenital tight phimosis.
There are rare cases in which the expected result is not achieved. This is the case if there is transient accessory disease (e.g., inflammation that has not yet resolved) or disease that compromises the entire foreskin (e.g., lichen sclerosus). In these cases, before using Phimostop, it is necessary to treat the inflammation according to the instructions of the treating physician.
Phimostop is:
Subject of clinical study at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome ( http://www.robertomiano.it/fimosi-come-trattarla-senza-intervento-chirurgico/ ).
Each person has his own healing time. With a little patience and following instructions well, healing is possible even with very tight phimosis. We are always available to give full assistance.
Phimostop is based on the theory of skin dilation when subjected to constant pressure over time. It is a mechanical principle, not a “potion” or something “magical.” The effectiveness of the product depends on how it is used. The product is applicable for all types of phimosis. Its effectiveness may be reduced in cases of Lichen Sclerosus. Lichen Sclerosus, in fact, makes the skin of the foreskin “dry” and does not allow it to heal completely.
The price of Phimostop is determined by several factors, many of which have already been listed.
We pose as a serious alternative to circumcision surgery, which, if done in public facilities, often involves long waiting lists (as long as two years), while in private facilities it is an operation that costs dozens of times the price of Phimostop.
Phimostop is a medical device specifically designed for the treatment of phimosis. It has no side effects and causes no pain. If you have any discomfort, it is because perhaps the tuboid (made of soft medical silicone) has been positioned incorrectly or because you are rushing things too much (we always recommend taking small steps without ever forcing the phimotic ring). If this is the case, please contact us and we will give you full assistance to use the product well.
If you have narrow phimosis, it is normal for you to have a very sensitive glans. The foreskin fails to uncover the glans, and the glans skin does not contact any external surface. This prevents the skin of the glans from keratinizing and thus there is far too much sensitivity.
In this case, a mild anesthetic cream can be used along with Phimostop. As it becomes possible to uncover the glans, the hypersensitivity will go away and you can stop using the cream.
If you do not act in time and choose to procrastinate and put off solving this bothersome problem, it is very likely that you may face circumcision surgery as a last resort to solve the phimosis problem.
Many physicians are familiar with Phimostop and indicate it as a treatment before considering circumcision surgery. Not all physicians are familiar with the medical device as the clinical research conducted by Tor Vergata University with the title “Can circumcision be avoided in adult male with phimosis? Results of the Phimostop prospective trial” was published in the international journal “Translational Andrology and Urology “only at the end of 2021, and at the moment the information campaign to general practitioners and specialists in the field has not yet been launched.
Phimostop tuboid can preferably be applied to resting penis.
The tuboid does not create discomfort in case of erection
In the presence of more or less severe phimosis, the use of condoms in sexual intercourse is suggested to avoid forcing the phimotic ring and worsening the situation. While using Phimostop, it is possible to remove the tuboid and then put it on again after intercourse. Once the treatment is over, once the foreskin is free, one can return to having sexual intercourse as before the onset of phimosis.
It is not necessary to remove the tuboid. The tuboid is designed to allow smooth urination. One just has to be careful that the tuboid is well centered on the glans to avoid flow detour.
Phimostop is designed exclusively for the treatment of phimosis. In the presence of phimosis and short frenulum, the product can be used to treat phimosis. After treatment, it will be possible to operate on the short frenulum following your doctor’s instructions. Phimostop does not cure short frenulum.
The foreskin, even healthy foreskin, can be naturally scarce (does not completely cover the glans), normal (covers the glans in a quiet state and begins to uncover it in an erect state), abundant (covers the glans even in an erect state until it is brought down voluntarily or naturally during intercourse).
Consequently, a normal or abundant foreskin may be traced up to the fins; a scanty one up to the middle of the tuboid. The regression effect of phimosis is achieved in both cases as long as the phimotic scar ring is made to rise around the tuboid and not left down, out of the dilating action of Phimostop.
Therefore, it is important to pay attention to also bring up the inner wall of the foreskin around the tuboid and not just the outer wall.
Absolutely not. You just need to familiarize yourself with the product and get used to it. But then there is no need to worry as you will receive detailed instructions via email throughout the treatment so that you can use Phimostop as easily and effectively as possible.
Phimostop is made from hypoallergenic medical silicone. The raw material has passed numerous tests in compliance with international standards. The medical device is not sterile and can be cleaned with simple soap and water.
